Love Me or Leave Me – Claudia Carroll.

Back of the book :

Breaking up is hard to do …

Chloe Townsend was dumped at the alter. But now she’s landed an incredible new job.

She’s running a pioneering boutique ‘divorce hotel’. It will make every aspect of breaking-up pain-free – all in a single weekend.

No one is better qualified than Chloe to deal with relationships at crisis point, but, with three unhappy couples needing her help, she’s forced to tackle her own heartbreak.

Can she hold it together and prove that she’s over it and up to the job ?

The opening weekend approaches, and it soon becomes clear that some endings can be VERY exciting new beginnings …

What I think :

Dawn & Kirk.

Jo & Dave.

Lucy & Andrew.

The story begins with 3 wedding invitations.

When we first meet our main character Chloe, she is being handed tissues by her best friend Gemma after being jilted herself by her fiance Frank. She runs away to London to see if she can get over being jilted. However 3 years later she’s back in Ireland and running a ‘divorce hotel’. This is the place where you can ‘check in married and check out single’, this hotel is aptly named ‘The Hope Street Hotel’.

The book tells the story of the three couples on the wedding invites at the start and how they’ve ended up at the ‘divorce hotel’. And of course we find out if our main character has really got over being jilted…

When I first  started reading this book I did think that the idea of a ‘divorce hotel’ was a bit strange if I’m honest, however as I started to read it all became clear and it worked out beautifully. You really find out about all the characters and their lives, they are very believable and come to life. I think my favourite is Jo, she really made me smile.

This is a very lovely easy read book, that from the moment you pick it up its very difficult to put down. I have always been a fan of Claudia’s books and this one is up there with the best.

This is a excellent book and have already recommended it to a couple of my friends. 9/10.
