The Thursday Murder Club – Richard Osman ~ Blog Tour.

Back of the book :

In a peaceful retirement village, four unlikely friends meet up once a week to investigate unsolved murders.

But when a brutal killing takes place on their very doorstep, the Thursday Murder Club find themselves in the middle of their first live case.

Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim and Ron might be pushing eighty but they still have a few tricks up their sleeves.

Can our unorthodox but brilliant gang catch the killer before it’s too late?

What I think :

I really enjoyed this ‘Murder Mystery’ set in a retirement Village called Coopers Chase, they certainly aren’t your average ‘golden Oldies’ by any means, they keep themselves busy by doing a spot of Zumba and using the gym and all that offers and on Thursdays they have ‘Murder Club’

They all meet in the Jigsaw room and with Penny, who is a ex-Police officer they go through old files and try to solve the cold cases.

When a murder happens and the retirement village is linked to the case, the Murder club can’t wait to get involved to help the police solve the case.

Cant they solve it before the police … ?

I really enjoyed this book, it was a really easy read with brilliant characters, such as Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron and Ibrahim. I read through it in a couple of days. I found it a real breath of fresh air and quite funny in places.

I give this excellent read a well-earned 8/10 (5 stars)
