Back of the book:

Finding your perfect match has never been easier …

Or more Dangerous ….

One simple mouth swab is all it takes.

One tiny DNA test to find your perfect partner – the one you’re genetically made for.

A decade after scientists discover everyone has a gene they share with just one person, millions have taken the test, desperate to find true love.

Now, five more people meet their match. But even soul mates have secrets. And some are more shocking – and deadlier – than others…

What I think :

So, it appears the new way to find your ‘The One’ is through your DNA. Its so easy, all you have to do is send in your DNA on the swab provided and the computer ‘scientifically’ matches you. Millions have done it, it is one hundred percent accurate. so you cant really go wrong !

Here we meet five people who have taken the test…

Christopher : Who has a very strange hobby, He has his match, a police officer called Amy. He is slowly falling in love with her, what will she think when she finds out about his past time ?

Jade : she’s in a dead end job, which she really hates. Her match, Kevin lives in Australia, can she just drop everything and go to Australia for a visit ?

Nick and Sally: They haven’t been matched, they just met and fell in love the old fashioned way. If they take the test will they match … ?

Ellie : she owns her own company, she doesn’t want for anything, apart from someone to love her. When her match comes through she wonders if she has time for love. But when she meets Tim that all changes ….

When I first started to read this book I wasn’t quite sure what to think. When the book arrived through my front door, complete with DNA swab and a postcard asking me ‘to take the test, if I dare’ I really did wonder what was going on ! However when I did sit down and actually started to read the book, I found that I couldn’t put it down.

The book is made up of chapters from each ‘matchee’, which tells of their everyday life, loves and their secrets too …

It really keeps you on the edge of seat, just when you start thinking one thing, the whole thing changes in the blink of an eye and it all gets turned on its head, with you not knowing quite what to think !

The character’s are so perfectly written and very believe-able, my heart went out to a couple of the characters at a certain point in the book. I would love to be able to say a lot more, but it would give their stories away. My advice is just get yourself a copy and get reading, you wont be disappointed ! I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to the next book by the author.

I give this brilliant thriller a well earned 9/10. (5 stars)

5 gold stars
