Three different women. Three intertwining love stories. one unforgettable city …

What I think :

Megan is going on holiday for five days with Ollie, he’s one of her best friends. She’s known him for quite a while. (They kissed once, but Megan put a stop to that very quickly !) Whilst Ollie needs to go to Prague to get information for a project he’s doing for his school teacher job, Megan is hoping that she might get some good photos for her exhibition that she’s got coming up. Ollie really likes her, but Megan doesn’t feel the same way, she hasn’t got time for all that ! she’s far to occupied with her photography, Or is she just lying to herself ? Could there be something there ?

Hope has just moved in with her new boyfriend Charlie. He’s such a kind and lovely man, not like her ex-husband at all ! He’s just surprised her with a short break to Prague, a gift for her birthday. But however pleased Hope might be, she knows that there is one person that won’t be impressed to find out that she’s off on a short holiday, and that is her daughter Annette. Annette is having a lot of trouble adapting to the fact that her Mum and Dad have split up, in fact she won’t even speak to her mum !

Sophie and her fiancé Robin have made Prague their special place. They have been all over the world together travelling, however, its Prague that they always return to. In fact Prague is the place that they met and its where they got engaged. Sophie has made this trip on own this time, but Robin will be with her soon, she hopes …

All three women are staying at the same hotel, they meet as strangers but soon become friends and their stories become entwined. They all have secrets they want to stay hidden, but, however as secrets do, they soon rear their heads, will the women be able overcome their problems, or will things never be the same for each of them again ?

This is a bittersweet story of heartbreak and self-discovery, it has some beautifully written characters in Sophie, Megan, Hope and Ollie and I think by the end of the story I was a little bit in love with the wonderful Charlie ! I did guess poor Sophie’s story quite early on in the book though, however it didn’t detract from the fact that this is an extra special story. It also has a really brilliant twist at the end too !

This was the first book review I’ve written after a three and a half month break from reviewing and I sincerely think that I couldn’t have picked a better book to get me back into reviewing again.

I really loved this tender tale and give it a well earned 10/10. (5 stars)
