Sometimes you have to step out of the light to see clearly again ..
Bronte never expected to see Alex again after their one night together, but she has never stopped thinking of him. So when she arrives at work one day to find Alex is her new work colleague, she is secretly thrilled. The only problem is that Alex is now engaged to the girl he was on a break from the night they met.
Determined to move on, Bronte becomes a part-time wedding photographer, alongside her day job. Surrounded by loving couples, tearful bridesmaids, mischievous pageboys and interfering mothers-in-law, she struggles through wedding after wedding whilst her heart is slowly torn apart.
As Alex’s own wedding day draws ever nearer, their chemistry becomes harder to ignore. Bronte must decide whether to fight for the man she loves, or to let him go forever.
What I Think :
Bronte lives in Australia, but comes to the UK for her friend Polly’s wedding. Whilst she’s out on the hen night at a nightclub, she meets Alex. They have a one night thing and Bronte goes back to Australia. A year and a half later Bronte is back and has a new job. she’s only been there a couple of weeks when she discovers that Alex works there too ! There is one problem though he’s now engaged to his girlfriend who he had split from a year and a half ago.
I have always been a real fan of Paige’s books and look forward with huge excitement to the next one, and this one is no exception. There is always just the right amount of real life and comical moments. She brings to life such wonderful characters and also brought back some of her previous ones, which is like seeing old friends again.
I really enjoyed this book and I spent a bank holiday weekend reading it non-stop !
And it has a beautiful cover too !
